Welcome to the land of the lakes, mountains and castles. The region of Allgäu is on the most southern side of Germany and at the same time the most southern western point of Bavaria.

Neuschwanstein castle (built between 1869 and 1886, by King Ludwig II of Bavaria)
is the most famous castle in Germany and it is located in the small village of Schwangau near Füssen.
Castle Hohenschwangau (restored 1832 to 1836 by Crown Prince Maximilian of Bavaria, Ludwig's father) is the romantic neighbour castle of Neuschwanstein.
The Ruebezahl Hotel is situated very close to the two famous castles - in the middle of the well-known Bavarian King´s Corner.
