The village Schwangau lies close to the southern-most point of Germany's, border to Austria and at the famous Romantic Road and is considered by many as the highlight.

Every year, from the last week of September until the end of the first week of Oktober, the world's largest Beer Festival takes place attracting visitors from far and wide to sample the region's great speciality: The famous Octoberfest in Munich. Fun, music, dancing and, of course, sampling the brews for two whole weeks. Legendary!
